Staten Island, NY – Man Injured in Parking Lot Hit-and-Run AccidentStaten Island, NY (October 10, 2018) – A 25-year-old woman has been accused in a hit-and-run accident in the parking lot of a strip mall in Eltingville where she had been shoplifting. She has been identified as 25-year-old Tracey Mitchell. The accident took place in the 3900 block of Richmond Avenue.

Mitchell had been behind the wheel of a Dodge pickup truck around 5:15 p.m. when the vehicle backed into a 56-year-old man, causing him to strike the pavement. He suffered serious pain to his left shoulder and hip and was taken to the hospital.

Mitchell fled the scene in the opposite direction without stopping to help the man. Mitchell was caught by police and charged with leaving the scene of an accident without reporting the personal injury.

Police continue to investigate at this time.
