17-year-old Kaitlyn Ingerick was seriously injured as a passenger in a vehicle crash that happened in Phelps, NY. The accident took place on South Marbletown Road just before 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.
At the time of the accident, 21-year-old Justin Palombi, the driver, lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree and then a utility pole. Ingerick was seriously injured and immediately taken to the hospital after being extricated from the car. Palombi suffered a minor hand injury. They were both taken to Strong Memorial Hospital.
The cause of the crash is still being investigated.
