Posted on March 20, 2018
On March 18, previous reports stated that one person was injured in a motorcycle crash in Hanover. The motorcycle accident took place at the intersection of Pleasant and York streets at night. The person involved in the accident was injured and transported via helicopter to York Hospital. At the time, no other details were issued.
However, in an update made yesterday, it was concluded that the victim was 59-year-old William Lamb of New Oxford. As of yesterday afternoon, his medical condition was still listed as ‘serious.’ The police know that the accident occurred when he lost control of his motorcycle but still don’t know what caused him to lose control.
Motorcycle accidents happen for many reasons on our roadways every day – from those who are riding or driving distracted to those who hit a pothole or come across another road condition that makes them lose control. Motorcycle accidents are sometimes the fault of the rider and sometimes take place when another vehicle driver acts negligently in some fashion.
